The new cafe in the library is set to be finished in the coming days. Nixa High School’s Librarian Julie Staats has been planning the final touches. 

“The last thing we are waiting on are the actual coffee machines,” Staats said. The machine that we are getting can make any type of coffee. If you go to Starbucks we will pretty much be able to do everything you get there,” Staats said.  

The cafe in the library will be opening soon and will have some snacks available to purchase along with the coffee.

“We will have cookies that you guys can buy that are really good, and different types of snacks and chips,” Staats said. 

Students are looking forward to the caramel coffee and different snacks. 

“I think I would like to make a dragon fruit refresher as that’s always what I get at Starbucks. I would love to see cookies and cake at the cafe,” Freshman, Tristun Turbe said.

Students can be encouraged to go hang out in the library and read, study or chill with friends. 

“I think this will affect the library in a good way as it can influence kids to hangout in the library to study, read, and even have a snack,” Turbe said. 

“I am excited for the library, I think this will bring more people there.” Freshman, Aubrey Gammon said. 

“I’m excited for the new cafe. This addition to the library will encourage me to go more often,”  Turbe said.
