Review: Abby’s Açaí Co pleases with Chocolate Fix

Abby’s Açaí Co., is located in the 14 Mill Market in Nixa.

When you walk into Nixa’s 14 Mill Market and head left towards the bright colored sign that reads, Abby’s Açaí Co., you know that you are in for quite a treat. There are three different options for what to get. You can get an açaí bowl, smoothie/smoothie bowl, or you can build your own. I went this weekend for a quick meal before my dance team practice, but this was far from my first lovely experience with Abby’s Açaí Co.

I rarely venture out from my original, the Chocolate Fix in a smoothie bowl, but I did get two of The Original açaí bowls plus peanut butter for my sisters this time. There is a reason the Chocolate Fix is my absolute favorite. It is made of banana, cocoa, chocolate almond milk, and spinach and then topped with sliced banana, cocoa nibs, and honey-almond granola. I also get it topped with DF chocolate drizzle, and peanut butter. This bowl is the perfect healthy dessert, or refreshing meal. I am a huge critic when it comes to the consistency of smoothie bowls, but all of these have the perfect amounts of each ingredient, that they are creamy without being runny, and thick without being crunchy from ice. If you are not a chocolate and peanut butter fan don’t worry. They are called Abby’s Açaí Co. for a reason. Their açaí bowls are a fan favorite. The bowls have the açaí base, and then there are four different named options for choosing toppings, or you can add whatever you want. Not only does everything look incredibly appetizing, it has unbelievable flavor.

You’re probably thinking; the food sounds delicious but is it at an acceptable price? The answer is YES! Abby’s Açaí Co. has just the right size portions and for affordable prices. Their smoothie and açaí bowls are $9.20. The smoothies are $6.20. You can build your own bowl or smoothie for $10.00. There is a list of things you can add onto any bowl or smoothie for only $1.00. Prices are at the perfect levels to get everything you want here.

Abby’s Açaí Co. is the perfect place to go if you’re needing a quick snack, a light meal, or a yummy dessert. It took me less than 10 minutes to get my three smoothie bowls. You can give them your number and they can text you when your order is ready as well. They also have a QR code you can scan to order online. Timeliness is one of the best things about Abby’s Açaí Co.

Everytime I have been at Abby’s Açaí Co. the service has been amazing. Many employees at the 14 Mill Market are Nixa High School students, which I’m sure isn’t much different with Abby’s Açaí Co. This time when I was there the girl behind the counter was apologizing for the wait (which was not long at all) and loaded up my Chocolate Fix bowl with the DF chocolate sauce I ordered, which she did not have to do. The employees I have met have always been polite, and hardworking.

In conclusion, you will not be upset with your experience at Abby’s Açaí Co. Their food, prices, timeliness, atmosphere, and service are exactly what you’d hope for. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Now go enjoy your açaí, and thank me later.
