![During the hottest Nixa football game of the season that took place on Aug. 25, 2023 against Webb City a sea of students erupts in cheers. With sweat dripping down their faces, Payton Link (12) supported by classmate Andrew Banks (12) show their support for the Nixa football team after their first win of the 2023-2024 season. “[That game] was really cool, it kind of set the tone for the season after beating the Webb City,” Link said. “It got me really excited for the remainder of the season.”

Nixa High School Journalism students took home more than 30 awards and recognitions at the 2024 Journalism Day event hosted by the Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association. The event took place March 27 at the University of Missouri campus.
