This year’s new app obsession is called Brawl Stars. Brawl Stars is a battle fighting game in which you try to collect Power Cubes and try to attack the other players when you’re in teams to win. You seem to see people on their phones horizontally and if you ask them, they are probably in the middle of a match trying to defeat all the brawlers in their match. Oftentimes you can see people playing the game in the hallways.
In Brawl Stars you can earn different brawlers to play as, as well as different maps or levels to accomplish and you want to get into the best ranking goal which is level 11, The Apex of Power.
Freshman Porter Wilson is a long-time player in the game.
“Brawl Stars is a very enjoyable and interactive game. From multiple game modes to a variety of different brawlers to play with, this game offers so much diversity it’s impossible to get bored of it,” Wilson said. “Not only do millions of users enjoy playing this game every day, the app is free and is open to anyone willing for a provocation.”
Brawl Stars came out on Dec. 12, 2018, and has been favored since, but mainly started getting well-known this year as many in different age groups started to love it.
Freshman Rush Crayon is also a long-time player who enjoys the app and says he is on the game a lot.
“I play Brawl Stars around 3-4 hours a day as many others are like that also because it’s a very competitive game to play,” Crayon said.
When you play any game you normally have a reason why you play it or realize what it can teach you, Crayon says that it offers challenges and skills to make you think.
“The game teaches me patience and learns skill with thinking because I have to think a lot while playing,” Crayon said.
