Being motivated and dedicated to something you love is something you could bring around with you for a lifetime. At Missouri State University, many educators and athletes show their hard work through many ways. Senior, Joseph Bartkowika majors in Biology and said he shows dedication by showing up to class and working hard to get the grades he has. ¨I show dedication from my classes because I work hard and show up to class and I pay attention, I stay up with my grades so I can get my doctorate,” Bartkowika said. Joseph puts work ethic and continues his education to learn so he can go far after college and is determined to do so. Athletes balance out both practicing for their sport and keeping your grades up is something you have to put extra work for. Showing up to practice and getting homework done throughout the day seems stressful, as athletes do both, they get to succeed further
. Senior, Darion Smith majors in Health Services and shows dedication by giving time for football, putting in work, and passing classes along with playing sports. ¨I have a few internship opportunities I am hoping to take advantage of, showing up to classes and working on football is something I strive for. Showing up to practice and doing everything we can to try to get to winning is something we have to put the extra work for,” Smith said. Around campus many are working for their future and putting in time to get to what they want, that is what dedication is about and getting good grades and getting good practice is the way to get to what you want.
