This is Amelia Womack and Ava Morgan with EagleAir. Thanks for tuning in.
Speaker 2:
As the colder months roll in, students and teachers look for delicious warm drinks during STAR and lunch. Today we will be asking about the new holiday drinks at the Birdhouse.
Speaker 1:
Starting us off, we have personal finance teacher, Tyler Killen.
Speaker 3:
Who makes the holiday Birdhouse drink recipe.
Speaker 4:
Well, it’s a combination of a couple of students and then
Speaker 3:
Speaker 4:
We have to come up with not only the idea for what the drink is, but also a clever name to attach to it and that’s where the magic happens. Always trying to come up with new drinks that people like and it’s something catchy to draw ’em in. Buy.
Speaker 3:
Which one is your most popular?
Speaker 4:
Candy cane might be the most popular today, but it’s going to change every week we update the specials.
Speaker 3:
Is this the first year you’ve done themed holiday drinks?
Speaker 4:
No, we did it last year. I think so. I think they pretty well always do.
Speaker 2:
We asked student Molly Leighninger if she’s tried the Birdhouse drinks.
Speaker 1:
Leininger says that the Birdhouse prices are steep but fair.
Speaker 5:
I think compared to some places like Starbucks. Yes they are. This is definitely cheaper than other coffee shops you’re going to go. I do think it’s a little upsetting that the Red Nose navigators $5 because it’s in such a small cup and sometimes the ice is already melted. But other than that, I’d say the prices are pretty fair. You can’t get ’em anywhere better. My favorite is probably the mistletoe mocha. I just really like Mochas. I like how it tastes. I also like the candy cane one because I just love mint flavors. And then I don’t really like the Red Nose Navigator because it’s really expensive. It’s the most expensive one on the menu. I did try it though and I just thought the missile Tomoko was better.
Speaker 2:
McKailee Bishop works at the bird house and enjoys making the candy cane hot chocolate.
Speaker 3:
Which holiday drink is your favorite drink to make the candy cane because it’s easy.
Speaker 2:
Sophomore Harper Nash has a taste for the holiday drinks.
Speaker 6:
I’d say that the Birdhouse holiday drinks are pretty good. I’d give them a good 8.5 out of 10. My favorite one is the peppermint one because I thought it was a nice holiday. Spice it I up the menu. I really like peppermint, so that was my overall favorite. The Red Nose Navigator, that one was all right. And the other favorite would probably have to be the mistletoe mocha. Because I’m a mocha girl, I like mochas.
Speaker 1:
Now Freshman, Katie Bryant tells us her favorite drink
Speaker 2:
Frosty’s. Freezer, Because it has whipped cream,
Speaker 2:
Many students enjoy the Birdhouse drinks and the addition of holiday drinks to the menu.
