Hello, it’s Makenna Sigman,
Speaker 2:
Emily Jenkins and Carmody Zsiga. Welcome to our podcast. Today we’re discussing winter drink favorites amongst students of Nixa high school. Me personally, I love getting the ice peppermint mocha from Starbucks.
Speaker 1:
Yes, sounds good. I get a drink whenever we are decorating the Christmas tree for Christmas to getting the holiday spirit. Nice. We asked the students about their opinions. We went to Seventh Brew and tried their most popular drink. It was a candy cane mocha.
Speaker 3:
The place was very festive and Christmasy feeling. It really got you into the spirit. What did you guys think about the drink? I personally don’t love peppermint, but it was still pretty good, so I gave it a five out 10
Speaker 2:
For me, the drink was my favorite out of all the other places we went to since it was peppermint and sweet, but not too sweet. But I do not like coffee that much. So in my opinion, it was an nine out of 10. It was still pretty festy.
Speaker 1:
I liked it. I’m all in for a good peppermint drink as long as it’s not super strong and this was a good balance of peppermint and the other flavors. So I give it a nine out of 10. Definitely.
Speaker 2:
Our next interview is with Allie Pearcy. What’s your favorite place to get drinks?
Speaker 1:
Probably Starbucks Day. What’s your favorite drink? Christmas drink from Starbucks. Probably the caramel Brule latte. I think it’s sweet and I like the sweet coffee. That sounds delicious.
Speaker 2:
We went to Starbucks as well.
Speaker 1:
We asked for their most popular drink there. They said the Chai Brule latte was a fan favorite.
Speaker 3:
This one was one of my favorites, even though it was more like a fall drink rather than a Christmas drink.
Speaker 2:
I agree. It did feel more fallish than winy and I don’t really like chai drinks, so I gave it a five out of 10.
Speaker 1:
Yeah, it’s OK. I definitely think it’s a five out of 10 as well because it doesn’t feel super festy and I’m not all in for chai.
Speaker 3:
Our last interview is with Molly Hill.
Speaker 2:
What’s your favorite drink at Starbucks?
Speaker 4:
First seasonally, the iced sugar cookie chai latte. Oh, it’s so good.
Speaker 2:
When to sell Winter drinks is a controversial topic. Molly shares her thoughts on this subject.
Speaker 4:
I think offering it later makes them just that much more special. If you’re offering Christmas drinks in October, everyone’s going to burn out of them really quickly. But if you start offering it end of November and only for a month, so many more people buy them. So
Speaker 1:
To finish off the episode, we went to scooters and got the sugar cookie latte.
Speaker 2:
For me, it was pretty good, but it was a little too sweet and it did feel very Christmasy. So I rated it an eight out of 10.
Speaker 1:
I think it was good. It was very sweet. So if you’re not into that, it’s probably not for you, but it is very Christmas, so I would rate it like an eight out 10.
Speaker 3:
I liked it quite a bit and I agree it was a little sweet, but I guess that’s what I expected since it is a sugar cookie latte, I gave it a seven out 10.
Speaker 2:
Overall, I think most people’s favorite place to go for coffee was Starbucks.
Speaker 1:
Yeah, definitely. It is a very popular place. You see teens and stuff at school, walking through the hallways with them, the drinks, and it’s pretty busy on a regular day basis.
Speaker 3:
Yeah, it’s one of my favorite places too.
Speaker 1:
Anyway, this is all the time we have today,
Speaker 2:
And thank you to Allie Pearcy and Molly Hill for their opinions. This is Makenna Sigman, Carmody Zsiga and Emily Jenkins with EagleAir signing off. Merry Christmas.
