The Nixa Girls Swim are headed to a strong wrapup to the 2025 season. The girls won meets such as COC and were placed in different relays. They competed throughout the district such as the Ozark Invite, Kirkwood, Ozark Central Conference (COC), Springfield Invite, and SouthWest Missouri (SWMO). The girls worked on developing and strengthening their speed, technique, and endurance while building teamwork with their swimming skills.
Alivia Giddens (12) has swum since she was 7 and has got a lot out of it.
“One of my biggest takeaways is that you can’t rely on others, the only person you can count on is yourself,” Giddens said.
The Girls Swim Team played a vital role in promoting their valuable life lessons in discipline and perseverance. Kylie Avens (10) said she enjoyed the support from her teammates and her coaches and how she always counted on them to help or support her.
“I would show up to practice or a meet knowing that I have people to count on me to keep moving,” Avens said.
