One Last Goodbye

One+Last+Goodbye

As my last few days of high school approach, senioritis is kicking in more. From the last quarter assignments that I have no motivation to finish to just wanting to be outside on the nice warm nights, finishing high school has never felt greater. Yes, I will miss seeing my friends throughout the halls and cheering Nixa teams on from the sidelines. However, I am ready to move on to the next chapter of my life.
High school is full of great memories and some that are better left behind. As college gets closer, I am excited to see what it will hold and the new adventures and friends I am about to experience. However, as these new adventures arise, it is nerve racking. Not knowing what the future will hold but knowing that it will all workout is the best part.
Throughout high school, I never knew what tomorrow would look like … a pop quiz, another work day or an assignment that will take me hours to do. Two years ago, we did not know if we would have an in-person graduation. We did not know if we would go back to school or have to wear a mask. However, we made it through all of it; through COVID-19 and 13 years of school. Yes, life is nerve-racking all the time. The important thing to remember is that we made it through the worst days, those 50 math problems, the three-page papers or friendships that did not last. Always remember that it is constantly worth the fight.
Thank you Nixa High School for letting me be your editor-in-chief this past year. I hope you all reach your goals in life and I can’t wait to see where the next adventure takes us all.
