[MUSIC PLAYING] KYLER DIBBEN: Hello, everyone. Welcome to the podcast. This is Kyler Dibben and I’m joined by–
JACK EDWARDS: Jack Edwards with Eagle Air TV.
KYLER DIBBEN: Today, we’ll be sharing ours as well as other people’s opinions on when you should put up your Christmas tree.
[THEME MUSIC]
Christmas, there are many ways to celebrate it. There are many things that make Christmas fun, whether it be the presents, seeing your family, eating food–
JACK EDWARDS: Or the fact that snow starts falling, Christmas music starts playing, or what we are going to talk about, the Christmas tree, more specifically, when you can and can’t put it up.
KYLER DIBBEN: So Jack, when do you put up your Christmas tree for Christmas?
JACK EDWARDS: Well, personally, I tend to put it up usually around the first– the first week of the month or right after Thanksgiving ends.
KYLER DIBBEN: Right after Thanksgiving.
JACK EDWARDS: Yeah, so how about you?
KYLER DIBBEN: Me? I usually put it up on, like you said, the first week of December, and that’s really about it. So in your opinion when is a bad time to put up your Christmas tree?
JACK EDWARDS: In my opinion, anytime from– any time from the day after Halloween to– to Thanksgiving. That’s not a bad time. And then also– and then– and then also at the start of the– and then also at the start of the new year.
KYLER DIBBEN: Yes. Yeah, that’s pretty reasonable.
JACK EDWARDS: Because this topic is so divisive, I asked students of the high school for their opinions.

JAY JAMES: My name is Jay James, and I’m a sophomore.
JACK EDWARDS: All right, so my question is when is the best time you should put up your tree for Christmas?
JAY JAMES: I would say after Thanksgiving is an acceptable time. But my family personally waits till the first week of December.
JACK EDWARDS: And then– and then on the opposite, what time– what time should– it’s– you not have your tree up?
JAY JAMES: After New Year’s.
REBECCA COOKE: Rebecca Cook. [INAUDIBLE]
JACK EDWARDS: OK, so in your opinion, when is the best time you should be putting up your– putting up your tree for Christmas?
REBECCA COOKE: If it’s a fake tree, then the beginning of December. But if it’s a real tree, then you should get it before Christmas.
JACK EDWARDS: All right. And then how about the times you should not have it up?
REBECCA COOKE: You should not have it up in November.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
KYLER DIBBEN: In conclusion, there will always be a debate on when you should put up your Christmas tree. But you may put up your Christmas tree whenever you’d like, no matter what other people think. Thank you for listening to the podcast. We hope you enjoyed it.
JACK EDWARDS: Thank you to Audio Nordics for the music, and thank you to Jay and to Rebecca for giving their opinions.
