TOGETHER: [SPEAKING SIMULTANEOUSLY] And we’re here with the Nixa Eagle Air podcast.
JENNIFER GONGORA: Let’s start off an interview with our Nixa High School Football Defensive Coordinator Coach Robert Richardson.
[CHEERING]
GENNA CAMPBELL: What is your favorite thing about being a football coach?
COACH RICHARDSON: Getting to watch my players grow from freshmen to seniors, going out into the world and watching them mature through all of the growth process that they go through.
GENNA CAMPBELL: How do you feel about this football season?
COACH RICHARDSON: I think that the football season has gone very, very well. But we’re not done yet.
GENNA CAMPBELL: What was the hardest thing for you this season?
COACH RICHARDSON: The hardest thing was dealing with some injuries and maintaining the product that we put on the field every single week, being the product that was up to our standard.
GENNA CAMPBELL: How do you think the rest of the season will go?
COACH RICHARDSON: I expect that it’s going to go however it goes. We’re going to do our very, very best to win our last game of the season.

[BACKGROUND NOISES]
How do you think the football team did this year?
PLAYER 1: Incredible.
JENNIFER GONGORA: What are you planning to do after high school?
PLAYER 2: I’m playing football in college for West Point in New York.
JENNIFER GONGORA: What did you do to achieve this and be a good player on the team?
PLAYER 1: Came up– showed up every day, worked hard, got it done.
JENNIFER GONGORA: What would you recommend to those younger classmen who want to be on the football team and want to get better?
PLAYER 2: I would say, work really hard and success takes a long time to achieve in football, especially at a class like this. So just keep your head down, and keep working until you get where you want to be.
