Speaker 1 (00:13):
Holiday season is coming up, the wind is getting colder, drinks are getting warmer, and the Christmas cheer is spreading. Today we as people at Nixa High School, what their Christmas favorites are. We will also talk about what teens want for Christmas this year. Today with Eagle Air, we have Gabby Myers, Chelsea Vincent, Maci Allison.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Now we have freshmen Lyla Howard.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
What is your favorite thing to do on Christmas?
Speaker 3 (00:34):
My favorite thing to do is play games with my family because we do big ones. What kind of games we do? Hiding a pickle in a tree and seeing who can find it and they get a big gift. That’s fun. I wish we did that. What do you think is the best Christmas movie? The best Christmas movie is Christmas Chronicles. Okay, and why? It’s just like a nostalgic movie that I always watch. My favorite thing about Christmas is spending time with family.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Here we have freshman, Sabrina Fulnecky to give us her favorites this season and explain how our family celebrates and enjoys Christmas. Do you have a favorite holiday tradition that you do every year?
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Probably. It’s not a tradition, but I think the broadest thing I would say is just decorating the Christmas tree because it takes hours because we actually use a real life Christmas tree instead of one bought like a store bought one. Cool.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
So it just takes hours of painful and then hours of complaining and fighting over where to put the ornaments. And if someone drops an ornament, then it just starts a whole argument.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
What’s your favorite thing to do on Christmas Day? What do you usually do with family or friends or something?
Speaker 4 (02:05):
I think my favorite thing is sleeping and then waking up and then realizing it’s Christmas, but then you don’t feel the Christmas spirit anymore, so you don’t really realize it’s Christmas until you walk down there and see the toys on the thing. But before that, when you did feel the spirit, you would actually stay up instead of just sleeping through and then wake your parents up.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
What do you think is the all time best Christmas movie and why?
Speaker 4 (02:32):
The all time Best Christmas movie. I would say it would be, oh, “Polar Express,” because that’s probably 10 years old or Probably, yeah, because it is kind of nostalgic looking back on it and realizing that Santa isn’t real.
Speaker 6 (02:53):
Now we have freshmen, Eliza Zimmer and Lexi Bates is your favorite Christmas movie and why? Definitely Elf because it’s so funny and yeah, probably Frosty the Snowman. I just remember watching it a lot when I was a kid, and I think it’s pretty funny. What is your favorite Christmas present you have ever received? My favorite Christmas present probably would be my AirPods just because of how much I use them, but I also liked the tricycle I got when I was 10. My favorite Christmas tradition is a week before Christmas. Me and my sisters go to a store and we have a hundred bucks and we buy each other gifts. It’s like Secret Santa kind of.
Speaker 5 (03:44):
I have two. Okay. So I have one where we do Cousinsmas. It’s like cousin Christmas, and we each have $25 budget and do Secret Santa, I guess. And then probably right after we open our presents, we always drive to Texas and just celebrate with our family.
