PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub will opened a new family friendly pizza based restaurant in Nixa on May 14. According to Quality Business Awards, the local chain received the “Best Pizza in Springfield” award for 2026. 

PaPPo’s Pizza has a variety of items such as pizza, chicken sandwiches, Caesar salad, cookies and multiple drink options. It uses fresh and natural ingredients.

“I really like the crust because it isn’t… rubbery,” sophomore pizza lover, Hoyt Wammock, said. “It’s more crunchy and actually tasteful.”

Found across multiple locations in Missouri, PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub has two outside of the state. The new location in Nixa will be at W Aven St. Their interior tends to be of stone and brick, in an effort to make the place feel cozy.

Wommack said that it reminded him of when he was little. 

“I like the look of the place,” Wommack said. “This is random but it gives me a warm feeling, like a childhood feeling.”

Kamden Smith is an employee.

“Our pizza has vegan cheese and gluten free crust for more variety for everyone,” Smith said.

The menu contains healthy ingredients and alpha-gal friendly food. The options for pizza include gluten free crust, cauliflower crust, also including vegan cheese and sauce. The average 12 inch pizza will cost around $17-20.
